Suffering from Heartburn? Chew one teaspoon of fennel seeds after every meal and see its amazing effects. Fennel has a cooling effect on the digestive system, and a pacifying effect on aggravated Vata & Pitta doshas (the common cause for heartburn).
When you take a bath or shower, always wet your head and face first instead of wetting the feet and legs first, as most of us usually do. This helps to push the heat away from the upper body towards the lower part of the body and is useful in helping to prevent migraine.
When you first get out of bed in the morning, drink about 500 ml of lukewarm water before brushing your teeth. There are 2 main benefits to this :
Water naturally helps with bowel movement.
Saliva has medicinal properties. Drinking water first thing in the morning aids us in swallowing the morning saliva which will have a very good effect on the digestive enzymes and juices in the stomach and intestines.
